Non Violence Response To Aggressive Behavior ^TM Foundation Seminar
In this service specific training, the focus is on early identification of potentially violent behavior, staff awareness and an introduction to our Secure Disengagement Techniques ^TM.

• Identifying the risk of a violent incident and probability of escalation.
• Reducing mounting tension, stress and anxiety in staff during potentially violent situations.
• Verbal and non-verbal intervention strategies to de-escalate potential violence.
• Introduction to our basic Secure Disengagement Techniques ^TM that minimize or avoid injury, while they maintain rapport with the aggressive party.

Non Violence Response To Aggressive Behavior ^TM One Day Workshop
This workshop uses a variety of teaching approaches, such as live demonstrations, role playing, writing/reflection and practice sessions, as well as information-rich presentations to address the particular needs of your organization. The Secure Disengagement Techniques ^TM are covered in-depth for staff and client extraction from violent incidents, as well as our Self Monitoring Model.

You will learn:
• How to identify potentially violent places, times and situations.
• How to identify environmental elements of your workplace that increase potential for violence.
• How to identify and prevent potentially violent situations.
• When to intervene and when to disengage from potentially violent situations.
• Verbal and non verbal communication to defuse potential violence.
• How to deal with the stress and anxiety using our Self Monitoring Model.
• Secure Disengagement Techniques ^TM that minimize or avoid injury and maintain the well being of the aggressive party.
• How to reduce or eliminate procedures with higher risks or adverse consequences.
• Effective post incident debriefing, follow up, and staff after-care.

Two Day Non Violence Response To Aggressive Behavior ^TM Workshop & Certification
This training extends the full curriculum of the one day workshop to include a dimension of team involvement and demonstrated overall proficiency in all of the verbal, non verbal and physical course material. Participants will also learn the full spectrum of Secure Disengagement Techniques ^TM, as well as strategies for prevention of future violence. You will learn how to identify spheres of influence in relation to the individual, team, and organization and various methods to reduce overall workplace aggression and violence. In addition, they will identify and discuss the very real aftermath of violent incidents for both staff and service users, including the effective use of follow-up debriefing strategies.

Cancellation Policy
The registration fee, less a $35.00 administrative charge, will be refunded upon written cancellation notice received up to 14 business days prior to the date of the training. If you need to cancel within 14 business days of the training, you may apply the program fee toward another ANVG program of your choice, scheduled within 12 months of the original program date. We will make every effort to work with you to reschedule the event. ANVG reserves the right to cancel a training seminar or workshop. In the event of cancellation, ANVG’s responsibility will be limited to a total refund of the training fee.
